This page explains what Office Setup Lab collects when you visit, why, and what you can do about it.
It describes what this site actually does today — not a generic list of everything a website could possibly do.

The short version
Office Setup Lab does not run analytics, does not run advertising networks, does not use tracking pixels, and does not sell or share your personal information with anyone.
You can read every guide on this site without giving any personal information at all.
What this site does not do
To be specific, because these are the things people reasonably worry about:
- No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, and no other visitor-tracking or statistics service running on this site.
- No advertising. There are no ad networks, no display ads, and no ad-targeting cookies.
- No tracking pixels. No Facebook pixel, no advertising tags, no cross-site tracking.
- No profiling. Your browsing is not used to build a profile of you.
- No selling data. Your information is never sold, rented, or traded. There is nothing to sell, and it would not happen anyway.
If any of this changes as the site grows, this page will be updated before the change goes live — not quietly afterwards.
Information collected when you visit
Server logs. Like effectively every website, this site runs on a web host (Hostinger) whose servers keep standard technical logs of requests. These typically include an IP address, browser type, and the page requested. They are used for security and for keeping the site running, and they are handled under the host's own privacy terms.
Caching. This site uses LiteSpeed Cache to load pages faster. Caching works by storing ready-made copies of pages, and it may set technical cookies needed to serve the correct version of a page to you. This is a performance function, not a tracking one.
Comments
If commenting is enabled on a guide and you choose to leave a comment, WordPress collects what you type into the comment form — typically your name, email address, website (if you enter one), the comment itself, plus your IP address and browser information as a spam-prevention measure.
Your email address is not published. Your comment and the name you give may be visible publicly on the page.
If you leave a comment, you can ask for it to be removed — see "Your rights" below. Do not put sensitive personal information, health details, or anything you would not want read publicly into a comment.
Email subscription
This site has the Hostinger Reach plugin installed, which can provide an email subscription form.
If a subscription form is present and you choose to submit your email address to it, that address is processed by Hostinger Reach for the purpose of sending you site updates, and for nothing else. Subscribing is always optional — you never have to subscribe to read anything here. If you subscribe, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email you receive, or by getting in touch.
Your email address is not sold, rented, or passed to advertisers.
[OWNER TO CONFIRM: whether the Hostinger Reach subscription form is actually in use on the site, and whether any emails are being sent. If it is not in use, delete this whole section — do not describe a mailing list that does not exist.]
Contacting the site
If you get in touch, whatever you send — your name, your email address, and your message — is used to reply to you and for nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list without your asking.
See the Contact page for how to get in touch.
Affiliate links
Some guides may contain affiliate links. If you click one, the destination retailer may set its own cookies to record that the visit came from this site, so that any commission is credited correctly.
Those cookies are set by the retailer, on the retailer's own site, under the retailer's own privacy policy — not by Office Setup Lab. This site does not receive your personal information from them, and does not know who bought what. Commission reporting shows totals, not people.
Full details are on the Affiliate Disclosure page.
External links
Guides here link to other websites. Once you follow a link, you are on someone else's site, covered by their privacy policy and their cookies. This site is not responsible for how other websites treat your data, and cannot control what they collect.
How long information is kept
Comments and their metadata are retained so that follow-up comments can be recognised and displayed, unless you ask for removal. Subscription details are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for as long as the host retains them under its own policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information this site holds about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. You can also ask to have a comment removed, or to be unsubscribed.
To make any of these requests, get in touch through the Contact page. Requests are handled in good faith and free of charge. Note that some data — such as host server logs — may sit with the web host rather than with this site.
Children
Office Setup Lab is written for adults setting up home workspaces. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information here, please get in touch and it will be removed.
Changes to this policy
If this site starts using analytics, advertising, or any new service that touches your data, this page will be updated to say so. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know exactly what is held about you, ask through the Contact page.
